It takes a while to lose REAL WEIGHT, but I heard somewhere that each pound of fat is 3500 calories, so that times three is 10500 cals. Over a period of time of course. I would say it will take you at least a week or two. My first 2 weeks I lost like 7 pounds and then I didn't loose any for a while. YOur body gets used to it I guess. But DO NOT reduse the calories to much or exersie to much or it will be really hard to continue to lose weight after the first month or so. Good luck!!!!:)(:

One pound of fat equals 3500 calories so, reduce your calorie intake by 10 500 over about 2 weeks by way of diet and/or exercise and you'll lose 3 pounds.
Reduce your food calorie intake by 500 a day, which'll give you 7000 calories in 2 weeks meaning you'll have to burn 3500 calories by exercise during that same 2 weeks which equates to 250 a day. Any variation will work but you need to reduce your bodies calories intake by 10 500 over 2 weeks and you'll be down 3 pounds easy! Good luck!

2000 calories consumed and stored will equal 3 lbs of fat.
But, by decreasing your sodium intake for a short while will probably allow you to lose that or more in water weight.
Why in the world are you trying to lose that teeny amount anyway? Many of us vary by 3-5 lbs per day and more if it's triggered by the hormone shifts we go through monthly :P
