...and I'm not sure if they're migraines or not. Aren't migraines the headaches that make you throw up? Last night, one hit me, and I felt queasy, although I didn't get sick, it just seems like the slightest bit of noise or light makes me want to crawl deeper under the covers of my bed. So, what's up with this, if they're not migraines, what are they, and how can I stop them? Like I said, I get them almost daily and now it's pretty aggravating.

I get those kind of migraines, too. I don't throw up, but I get really sensitive to light and sound, and my head just throbs.

Drink LOTS of water. Being dehydrated is a good way to bring a migraine on if you're prone to them. And you don't have to feel thirsty to be dehydrated. Make sure you're drinking three to four waterbottles per day, and that your urin is never more than a slightly yellow color, like a glass of water with one lemon squeezed in. Dark yellow means you're dehydrated.

Be careful of eye and neck strain, too. When out in the sun, wear sunglasses. Don't sit at the computer for hours and hours per day. And use good posture while sitting to avoid neck strain. You can do neck stretches and massages periodically throughout the day, too.

There's also drugs...but who wants to have to be constantly popping pills?

if you do get a migraine, lie down in a cool, dark, quiet place. support your neck with a pillow, and breathe deep. It sometimes helps to put pressure on your temples or on the base of your skull, too.

Good luck! Sorry about that, bad headaches are a pain! No pun intended.

If you are feeling sensitive to light(you didn't say, so this is a guess) and normal headache medicines aren't working, you might have a migraine. I often get them. They are horrible, and last for varying periods of time. If you didn't eat much, you might also be hungry, and not eating can cause headaches/migraines as well(from what I've experienced). Just make sure you drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated. Don't try to eat too much now because you might just throw it all back up. You should go away from the computer and TV and anything electronic, and stay away from light because that will make it even worse. Try to just keep drinking water, relaxing and trying to go to sleep. You should probably talk to your doctor about this soon.

Yes they sound like migraines because I have had them since i was like 10 or so and i don't always throw up but have a lot of the same symptoms. If you continue to have them I would see your doctor.

My brother has brain cancer and before he got it he had the symptons you had so please got to the doctor. If you want to know more watch a movie called "Hello Brother" my mom wrote a book about my life with my brother when he was normal and when he got cancer and my aunt, a sceneariio director told her friend, a director to make it into a movie and they did and it was a little bit succesfull but not like Harry Potter. It has a part where me, my brother, and my mom got to be in it! (the part where the the fake me is on a famous korean comedian's shoulder and the camera is scanning the room.

drink lots of water.... I mean lots. If that alone doesn't do the trick you should probably say something to the doctor or go see a chiropractor... could be that you need an adjustment. The water will probably fix ya up though.
