Can a Christian ( a person filled with the Holy Spirit) ever be demon possessed?

I have heard many people in my church say that the Bible explicitly states that a Christian cannot be demon-possessed, but I don't know where that verse is.
I have also heard that a Christian can be oppressed by a demon, but not possessed.

I would say no as well and that strikes a question for those in deliverence churches. This has been a great concern to me. Then again maybe, cause otherwise what are they being delivered for. So therefore it would mean that all in the churches are not filled with the holy spirit. That is why we must be filled daily of the holy spirit with repentance, cause a devil cannot stay in the dwelling place of someone that is filled of the holy spirit.

yes Christians can be possessed whether they have the holy ghost or not. how do priests get possessed? what about what we all know as "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" which is based off the story of Anneliese Michel, who was a christian by the way. if i were a demon, christians would be my prime target. not someone who doesn't believe, according to the bible if you have not found god you burn in hellfire and brimstone. they already have those in the bag. but to get a righteous man away from the light of god...that..that is the very purpose of a demon. true evil by your definition. they don't need to work at the other religions, cause according to your faith, they are already going to hell.

No. If the Holy Spirit truely dwells within a person this is his protection from it. I'm not sure about demon possession. I don't believe in hell, but there are forces of light and dark.

No. Once you have received Jesus in your life, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. All the enemy can do is attack you and try to make you doubt your faith, but he can never possess you - he can never take you from the Lord.

Anyone can be possessed. Religion of the person does not matter to the demons!

The Holy Spirit indwells the real Christian.Our body is his temple.A demon wouldn't have a
chance dwelling in the same temple.In fact,they
flee at even the mention of Jesus name. There
are even people that cringe from this name.Have no fear my brothers and sisters!

No...a christian that is truly borned again cannot be demon possessed...
The new birth destroys the works of the devil....and inoculates the believer from enemy
The enemy will still attack but he can't get in...
Because Jesus Christ is standing there with you to defeat the enemy

Describe Demon Possessed...
Do you ask by there word or deed etc? or, are you referring
to spitting, there head spinning around etc.
Remember if a person backslides they take on 7 times worse
the person than before. The bible tells us to pray without ceasing, to be ongaurd at all times. READ YOUR BIBLE!

yes-any one can be possessed by a demon-especially Christians-if you were a demon wouldn't you get a kick out of possessing a christian compared to your average sinner-I'd think they be more likely to be possessed
