What kind of a question is that? Who cares? It's a muffin. Eat it. Nobody cares. I'm guessing that since your display name is "Bran.Muffin.Queen", this is some kind cheap gimmick or an inside joke with a friend that is totally not funny. Get over yourself.

Bran causes gas, so in an indirect kind of way, yes, it is rude, if you let the gas out in public. However, if you are eating a bran muffin and have some sense of self control, and it is an appropriate time, (like not during a funeral, or while you watch your best friend give birth), and you eat it properly (taking the paper off first, not just sitting it on the table and scarffing it down with your face first, etc. . . ) then you should be fine. Good luck on that.

At some restaurants the have outdoor tables and chairs for the diners to eat. So why would it be impolite to eat a muffin outside?
