In my opinion you can't go wrong with a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan. Each Blue Cross is separately owned/operated, so you will need to look up the local plan in your state. Generally speaking they are the least expensive when comparing apples to apples, including such things as annual gynecological exams, physicals, doctor visits, prescriptions, etc. without having to meet the annual deductible first. It is also my opinion to take a high deductible to keep the monthly premium low.

I had Aetna and loved it. I now have Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and I'm kind of whatever about it.
All insurance companies are stupid, each one sucks more than the next. You just need to find the one that suits your needs best.
