Just once that I can recall vividly - In the late 1960's maybe 1969 or so. I picked up a hippie gal that was hitch hiking, brought her home to my place (parents were gone at the time) told her I loved her, gave her my "real Indian bead necklace" that I had spent many hours finding on the desert surface - especially after it had rained, the beads would come to the surface. I took the time to make a necklace out of them - only to give to to her - do not remember her name or what color of hair she even had, Always regretted saying I love you to her, because it followed with a youthful passion to give her something special to me.....wish I still had the "beads">>>>>

In some ways. I've regretted letting someone know I loved them when they were undeserving of that love. I regret scaring off my one true love because of the intensity of my feelings. I regret saying it too soon, only to find it was infatuation, not real love. I regret letting my heart get broken by mean, callous people. Love is the most powerful emotion people have, and must be handled with extreme caution! It can be the best thing or the worst thing.

Mmmm a hard one. Looking back I can say definately yes! I thought I was in love with my ex but I can honestly say now that I was not.
I think it was just the attraction of being with someone after a painful relationship where an ex did some horrible things to me and I guess I just went along with it all. He told me he loved me first and I can remember saying 'Oh that nice' then when I realised he was waiting for me to say the same, I said it but looking back it was the wrong thing to do.
NOW however I am in a new relationship where I have been with my boyfriend for over 2 years now and I can honestly say I LOVE HIM to bits and I tell him I love him with no regrets because he is everything to me and the one I am going to spend the rest of my life with!

Oh good god yes...
Realising your feelings aren't what you thought they were...well I think you know.
To be honest though it's easily done and a lot of people say it way too early without knowing exactly what it "should" feel like.
Its a good thing to regret though. Makes you human and means that you might actually learn from the mistake.

Oh Yes!!!! I also regret convincing myself once when I was younger that I was in love. That's the worst.

Yes... I think at some point everyone regrets saying those 3 words. Just don't use them to much, because then they will become meaningless... you want to say that, when you truly mean it.

Yes and No....simultaneously...
Yes~~because he did not feel the same
No~~because it's never a mistake to share your honest feelings and love is the most special feeling or gift in the world. It gives something to the other person and does not take anything away from you.

Nah... but I can think of one time someone said it to me, and I sort of wish I'd said it back... I did, but by the time I did, it was too late... anyway, I don't really regret that, things happen the way they should...
