God said that followers of the Hebrew path are to "put no other Gods before me". Also, it is said that God is a jealous god - jealous of what/who if there are no other Gods. Does this not sound like there are indeed other Gods, only the Hebrews/Christians shouldn't be worshipping them?

It's mostly in exodus, but this will help:

Isaiah 43:10
I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 44:8
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Isaiah 45:5-6
I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me.

Isaiah 46:9
I am God, and there is none else: I am God, and there is none like me.

Mark 12:29
The Lord our God is
one Lord.

Mark 12:32
There is one God; and there is none other but he.

1 Corinthians 8:6
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him.

Back in Old Testament times there were pagan gods represented by objects or animals and other "stuff" that people prayed too for blessings in their crops and wealth. In Exodus, the ten commandments, God says to not put them before Him because they aren't Him.

And gods don't necessarily mean literal gods that you hear about in Greek mythology and the like.
God is jealous of the stuff that captivates our hearts and lures us away from Him. Though people don't literally pray to money, sex, drugs, or themselves, those things and pride and self-gain become the Lord of their lives and become what they live for when God wants us to live for Him.

something also to consider is that the new testament was written in the Hebrew language. The English language is very simple where we have one word that can have many different definitions. Hebrew has different words for different definitions although they are similar.

Where? Tabula Rasa provided you a list of verses, there are more.

Other gods existing?
If anyone worship an idol, animal, person, thing or idea placing it/him in the place that God demmands for him the person just created a god. That's what God forbids in the commandment "put no other Gods before me".
Are there other beings similar to God (as you called him "the Christian God")? No.

By other gods He meant false gods.
Satan is worshipped by some as a god. And we have had people worshipping material objects like the Sun, Moon etc. as gods. In the present day, atheists worship 'matter', or the universe, as a god because they credit matter with all the creative powers of God.

John was instructed to write things down in Revelation. The first scripture actually written by God himself was the Ten Commandments, the Word of God written in stone. They were placed inside the Ark of the Old Covenant, to forshadow The Living Word of God, Jesus in the womb of Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant. God does not have to mention his words be written down.

It doesn't. It just says there shall be no gods before me. If you research the bible, it indicates there are other gods. It just leads you to believe that the christian god is supposed to be the only one they are to worship/revere.

Hail the Aesir, Hail the Vanir!
