Just moved into a new house, and it has roaches!!!

I scheduled an appointment with Terminix, but I'm concerned that the chemicals they use will harm my cars (we have three cats, and one is just a kitten). If anything happened to them i would be very sad (and my girlfriend would murder me for scheduling the appointment).

So, are chemicals used by Terminix "pet safe"?

The Terminix guy i spoke with said "of course they are pet safe", but i wanted a second (and hopefully third and forth) opinion that was not the salesman!

Please help ASAP. The Terminex guy will be here in a couple of days!

Thanks!

No worries. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats ( and a bird!). We used Terminix for the very same thing. A neighbor sprayed professionally and we got her freeloading cockroaches. (I completely freaked out.) Terminix will put a bit a THICK syrupy stuff on the hinges and on top of cabinets, etc...roaches eat it, take it back..GONE. It works GREAT!!! They may have to do it 2-3 times, but if you see ONE roach 10 days after treatment, they will REDO it again for free! It really does work and completely safe. Just ask our pets! ;) God Bless...

I wanted to agree with what the person above said. I have a friend that lives in a single wide trailer and she has a very small puppy that's about a year old. She has been using terminex from before she had the puppy. After getting the puppy she was also worried just as you were but the puppy has not been affected at all by the spray. The terminex people are very friendly we have come in contact with and their service is great.

Yes they are safe, they have to be or no one would be using the services. We have Orkin on contract to spray both inside and outside every 3 months and we have indoor cats. There has never been an issue. I don't even know they've sprayed.
