God knew all that would happen, child molesters, murders, drugs, and he is loving as well as all knowing. His plan? Why would he proceed with what he already knew was damned to hell, with the exception of a minority amount Christians, and only a fraction of them would make it to heaven. What is the point? Why all this big hastle and suffering? Why not truly create us in his image, knowing what he knows, then give us a free will. This would have enabled us to see as he sees and make an un-tainted choice. Instead we had free will, without full knowledge of the re-percussion of our sin. Adam and Eve supposedly operated with a full 100% of their brains capacity, yet were not fully aware of what God was saying? If they knew I doubt they would have ever ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They would have known good and evil, and not needed to eat of a tree to know it. So why all this hupla.Death of his only son etc.. I am a believer but have a little problem with this.

To exercise free will with choices and to be able to call a people unto himself. If everything was perfect then there would have been no choice. If they had known like God then they would have no real choice. They had to learn from the beginning and continue learning from generation to generation, and believing by faith not by what they knew as fact. What choice would there be in being like God and seeing things as they really are? We had to know what temptation was all about, what everything was about first hand in order to make the best possible choice. God was not going to just give you a pre-made memory of what is. He wanted us to know what we chose and that way he would have a people of his own. You tasted the ultimate evil, and yet and still chose to go with God.

God is ineffable. Beyond human conception in full. He is completely obtainable to us, any and all of us. But I believe that deep questions like this can only be answered by God Himself. We will learn it all when we meet Him. Until that day, we just need to have faith that He knows what is best and to put our trust and love in Him. I have had questions like this for yrs and yrs. Some of my questions have been answered but others I will just wait to hear from God Himself face-to-face after I die.
He did create mankind in His image. we have souls. Animals and plants and rocks have no souls. If we knew it all then wouldn't that mean we are all God? We are mere human and God just asks us to have faith.
I've never heard nor believe that Adam and Eve could use 100% of their brains. We don't use 100% of it either. But they were well aware of God's rules of the garden. They freely choose to give into temptation and they sinned. Eve believed the serpent's lies and Adam followed Eve. We know right from wrong. We have guilt when we think of doing wrong yet sometimes we still do the wrong. It's all free-will, freedom of choice.
Peace!

That's the whole point of free will - God wanted to see what we would make of it. Given the choice to eat the apple, do right or wrong, listen to or crucify a prophet, commit sin or do good... what would we do? Would we learn from our mistakes, and the mistakes of history? Would we try to do better, or would we embrace evil?
Sure, God could have made us perfect and saved us all the drama - but where's the fun in that? Think of a parent teaching a child a task - sure, it's faster and easier if the parent just tells him the answer of does it for him... but then the child doesn't learn, doesn't grow, and doesn't get the chance to teach someone else down the road. The parent loves the child too much to rob him of that.

Shaw: What if God couldn't know everything that would ever happen because it hadn't happened yet?
I'm 100% Christian, but it seems to me a little superstitious to say that there is a future, a thing, out there waiting to happen and it's all planned out or at least known step by step by God.
I believe that God only knows reality. The furture isn't reality. It exists only in our imaginations and we can imagine all kinds of things.
I think God is sometimes more surprised than we are at what we're doing down here. The great miracle is that God guides us and loves us and steers us away from blowing up the planet and ourselves with it.

Well, first, what's the point of love without sacrifice? What is love without free will? It's blind devotion.
Though I don't have all the answers to your questions, here is a thought by Ray Bradbury that I think sums up what I believe very nicely:
“My own belief is that the universe exists as a miracle and we have been born here to witness and celebrate. We wonder at our purpose for living. Our purpose is to perceive the fantastic. Why have a universe if there is no audience? We are that audience. We are here to see and touch, describe and move. Our job is to occupy ourselves with paying back the gift.”
If you don't have an option to not celebrate, where's the miracle in that?

"In the beginning was the WORD" We live in a story God created to pass eternity. God is a fantasy writer! As characters in God's story we are part of god in a holographic way where each part contains the whole because the whole contains each part. Why do bad things happen to good people? It advances the plot. Why does science make new discoveries all the time? To fill in the holes in the internal logic of the story. Time? Just a way to keep the "pages" in order.

John 3:16, for God so loved the world- that is why. He loves us. If we didn't have free will we couldn't love Him back, we would just be robots. Adam and Eve didn't know evil because they hadn't experienced it yet. Good question though, one I have struggled with too, but I have to remember that Gods ways aren't my ways and that I often only think of today and not eternity like He does. I have suffered much in this life, but, have eternal bliss to look forward to. Would I appreciate it as much if I hadn't suffered first? Don't know. Blessings to you.

satan challenged god's right to rule in the garden of eden and said he could do a better job. if god had banished him just then, there may be a question inthe minds of all those looking on. there were myriads of angels. satan's been given the chance and is failing. god will step in in his own due time and correct all of these evils. he "will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more......."
if a student brought the same charge against a teacher in front of the class, the prudent thing would be for the teacher to give him a chance to prove himself. if he were to just send him out of the class, the others may question the validity of the disruptive student.
since you're a believer, i'm sure you realize that god doesn't have a "plan", god has a purpose. a plan can be broken and his hopeful. what god says he will do. there's no plan about it, it's his will...it will be done.

This may be one of those questions that we don't have the right to ask....i just praise God that he created me and that He has loved me. He is the almighty God who r we but His creation to question His actions? And just think if He would've made us without free will then we would all be like robots just being good. As for Adam and Eve they let themselves be fooled by satan....just like millions of people now. Just remember that He loves u and that one day we wil know the answer to that.

You know what I hate about these religious wackos?....they cant give you a good reason for all the child molesters, murders, drugs, etc...the best they can do is say "everything happens for a reason", as if to imply that for god's master plan to happen some baby has to be raped......
you and I know the real deal...."religion" was created so people don't feel bad about dying and getting thrown in a box
