I was wondering something very similar not too long ago... I had to figure out a way to get to NYC to Buffalo without spending too much money. I just went on craigslist.com and a found a rideshare... if you dont know what that is, just go on there and you will see. You can usually get places a lot cheaper if you split the cost. Just make sure that if you do that, you are safe and don't accidentally get a ride with a serial killer or something, you know?

well my wife took a cab from nyc to newark airport and it cost about $80.00....which is about 35miles
