Am I the only one who thinks animals have souls? I know my pets did (when I had pets) and many of them tried to talk and definately had a sense of humor. (NO, it was not conditioned behavior, as they did deliberately innovative things to amuse me.) They would get emotional, and get guilty and upset when they were scolded, and if they accidentally hurt me, they would IMMEDIATELY apologize in the only ways they could... but they knew I could understand their language, and they could understand mine. I won bets on this fact. (The bets were not MY idea, of course...) Anybody else?

A friend and I were standing at the edge of a corn field just talking about native things and about an upcoming powwow. when lil' dude came running past us as we were talkin'.he ran off into the field and we stood there watching him play around a bit... then he ran into the field where we couldnt see him but we could hear him yipping happily...we called to him as we headed for the haus but he was out there somewhere.. so ! We r ounded the haus and saw a friend of ours sitting on the porch HOLDING lil dude's body crying... I was shocked! and asked how'd he get here sooo fast? we never saw him leave the field only heard him yipping...she looked at us like we were messing with her..He'd been dead 20 minutes.

I think all animals, including humans, have spirits-a certain way of acting, but when more complex thoughts are involved, to me, a soul could develop. Therefore, I guess it's possible but I also think it's possible that some beings don't.

The older I get, the more I see this too in my pets.
I think they have souls, but are different than human souls.
They have a sensitivity to the supernatural as well.

I totally think animal's have souls. I think all living things have souls, plants and animals included.

animals have spirits. My dog laughs. I love my dogs. But souls; no. They are neither morally responsible, neither do they reflect. (thoughts not light) and they sure don;t make tools and cook food. But they love and experience guilt. God bless dogs; and especially Weimaraners.

when my dog lost all her puppies one after the other.. and i looked into her eyes and saw how sad she was and the heart break she felt.. there was no question about the fact that she had a soul..

anyone who has animals , watches animal planet and such like .... know that animals have the same ability to love and care and think as we do ...
if we have a soul .... they do also
