I have been on medications before for acne that made me sick to my stomach. Antibiotics can cause problems in your system as they kill not only the harmful bacteria but also the beneficial bacteria that your body needs in order to sustain itself and digest food. I would contact your pharmacist and let them know what is happening because they will know more about what the drug could be causing than your doctor may know off hand. After speaking to the pharmacist then you should call your doctor. Also, try doing do Internet searches on your medication to see if anybody else has experienced what you are going through. Most times when people react adversely to medications they do not report it to the FDA...so, there may not be too much info out there. A good medical web page to visit is www.mercola.com. There is a lot of free info on this site.

yes, taking too much antibiotics can damage your liver, and probably cause other problems. But since your stomach ache only comes around once a week, and if you're taking the antibiotic every day, then they're probably not connected. Call your doctor though, tell him what's going on. I don't know about minocycline, but some antibiotics require people get blood tests if they're taking them long term.

I don't think it is the antibiotics you are taking because you would have had the stomach aches earlier on. you may have an ulcer? Make sure you are eating something before you take the antibiotics, sometimes taking with milk helps too. I would contact your doctor and let him know that you are having stomach pain.

When i looked the drug up, vomiting was not one of the side effects. However, monocycline becomes toxic over time so i would go back to your dermatologist or talk to a pharmacist.

Call your pharmacist--they know more about drugs than doctors do.
