and the bible is his word, why does he change his mind on so many things and seemingly contradict himself so many other things in the bible?

God breaks the bible(His WORD) into 2 parts,the Old Testament and the New Testament. God worked differently in the old testament and the new testament is what we live in today.Its not so much that He contradicts Himself,He has brought forth a new way of approaching Him and lifesyle.You cannot compare the old and new testament and say God is contradicting.You have no recognition of His sacrifice for us!! That is why everything changed. God is the same yesterday,today and tomorrow.He never changes,but because of our disobedience He has to change things so it can be of benefit to us.

God is perfect. If there are contradictions it would be because of the numerous translations of the Bible or the misinterpretations of people.

Simple, the bible is not His word. Jesus is the Word. If you read everything that Jesus said in the n.t. and gnostic gospels there are no contradictions. Jesus is not related to the Hebrew god in the o.t.

something like this just recently happened to me...
i was looking a scripture that didnt make sense to me and then i asked and found the answer and i knew i was missing something but i just didnt know what it was...but anyway, it just strengthened my faith
im always proven that the bible is real and true

God is perfect with His own standard. He does not contradict Himself, if it feels so, then we do not understand His message properly.

you have children that you love but often they disobey your rule you punish them for not doing or following your rules. you the parent knows whats out in the world but your child doesn't. your child think you don't want him to have fun, he thinks you are mean but you only want to protect your children. like wise we are Gods children he has giving us a book of instruction to follow but some of us want to be hard headed,and when God give his punishment they cry,wine,and moan and think that God is unfair.does this make any sense to you
