I researched this and it definitely wasn't Brussle sprouts.

What they actually used were VERY stale bagels. A couple of those would rip the treads off a Tiger in seconds.

I think the British enjoyed the irony as well.

Of course, when bagels weren't available, Scotch scones worked almost as well . . .

I have been talking to Professor Dr. Sauerbruch from the brain-trauma unit over at Charite Universitätsmedizin Berlin about your particular and rather intriguing case involving Private Penfold a disabled and I mean DISABLED veteran of WW3.Nevertheless his traumatic injuries to the brain, also called intracranial injury stemming from rocket attacks (V1 V2) some 65 years ago, are a fact and treated as such. Some symptoms seem to be hallucinations of marching goose stepping Nazi who handed out fake British pounds and coupons for rubber ducks are a common occurrence among British people living in secluded rural neighborhoods where incest is widespread . They are known for having lengthy conversations with their crops and sometimes their
brussel sprouts which are delicious with bacon and onions if I may add. Now to keep on track about Mr. Penfold from the "very first forced into duty Battalion" Yoinkersville, his very own statement among other statements as he is known for statements is as followed....he actually believes
that throwing merly a handful brussel sprouts and walnuts at a MOVING ******' TIGER TANK which does not have a sissy shiity Rolls ******' Royes engine would actually stop this BEAST!.....Now Ladies and Gentleman did you spot the LOONEY!
Please Ladies and Gentleman please please............

sorry sorry no interviews.

Brussels sprouts, however inedible you may consider them, are not nearly strong enough to damage tank treads. They would be smashed into paste. Walnuts aren't strong enough, either. You'd need something more like a hardened steel pellet, and even then, it might just bent the tread slightly without disabling it.

What you really want to do is put explosives on the tread, snapping it and severely or completely reducing the tank's mobility.

"Vorsprung durch Technik" is Audi's motto.

Sounds like pure horse manure my friend. Id believe throwing cut ups sections of railway iron steel, might have jammed up the wheels, but we all know a brussel sprout wouldnt do anything except get squished.

My dad was in WWII in a tank battalion and he said they used to throw grenades into the treads or shoot at the treads with a bazooka or another tank.

He said that you could see our shells (even the 90mm ones) bounce off of the Tigers and the 88mm armor piercing rounds from the Panzer's/Tigers would bust the Shermans right open.

I have heard that a fairly hard rock could jam in the wheels of a Tiger causing them to slow down or stall. They do have a very complicated and tightly packed set of wheels, so I tend to want to believe it.

I have no idea but... I heard that Death From Above and Tyler Durden are joining forces. They have two septic tanks full of mouth potty and they are taking driving lessons. They want to invade Anglia and decided to go with heavy armor.

You're a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
People would follow you, but only out of morbid curiosity.

I doubt it. But they did use fruits and veggies to disable tanks by blocking the exhaust pipes.
