So, I have succumbed to the liberal way of thinking. I understand their point of view and I think now is the time do act upon it.
All of my life I have worked hard. I have done the things needed to get me through life without any aid from the government or handouts from my fellow Americans. But, I have seen how those that are pro-illegal (er..pro-amnesty) want to hand tax payer dollars out to those here illegally and I think, as an American, I should take advantage of this opportunity as well.
I mean, my husband and I both work full time and I go to school full time. We pay our own health care, our own daycare during the summer, I pay for my tuition out of my pocket ($15,000.00 a year) and I also pay for my son's tuition for private school (that's another $4000.00 a year). I have served my country, 6 years active duty Navy and I am tired. I am tired of paying taxes to support those that are illegally in this country, or those that will not help themselves.
So, here it goes.
My husband and I are getting a divorce. No need for that pesky marriage getting in the way of our entitlements from the government.
I am quitting my job. Why work when I can get things handed to me from the government.
I am applying for HUD so that my rent will only be $50.00 a month. I have seen the places that take HUD and Section 8…not shabby….some are actually nicer than where we are living now.
I am going to get government medical, well since I am not working, I won't have insurance....and you KNOW that it is the taxpayers responsibility to insure my kid (even though you didn't have him)
I am going to get food stamps…got to feed that kid that I can't afford.
And to top it off…now since I am on welfare….MY SCHOOL IS FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooo hoooooo
Talk about a deal.
So thanks all of you bleeding hearts…you have helped me see that light. I now realize that personal responsibility is WAY over rated and something that I can do without.
I mean, if the illegals and their anchor babies are getting all this…why can't I?
But, of course, my husband is still going to live with me, so we will still have his income on top of what we are getting from the government. We just don't want that "marriage" thingy getting in the way of all our freebies.
Gubment cheese….yummy.

You forgot a few things Cincy. You need to buy a 300 dollar beatermobile and put 3K in rims and tires on it with a stereo playing a version of Lawrence Welk ( I know...I know...Lawrence WHO?) on hash blaring from it.. Oh, and that pesky old car insurance thing....fugeettaboudit. You don't need that. That's more money for you to spend.
Disclaimer: For those that left their sense of humor in their other pants...feel free to bring on the thumbs down.
Cincy: Funniest thing I've read on here in weeks. You owe me a keyboard from the soda that blew out of my nose...

I wish I could do it as easily as you said. If you get on food stamps you will be taken off of them in 3 months if you have not found a job, and each week during those 3 months you will have to come in and show them that you are applying for jobs. Once you've been taken off, you'll need to wait 3 months to 12 months depending on your State's regulations (mine is 6 months), and then you can "re-apply".
The rest of the stuff is simple if you don't mind standing in line. Your section 8 housing will not be $50 once you get a job, and they will require you have one sooner or later too. If you make enough for financial aid but not enough for section 8 I have seen it go up as high as $700 / month which kicks people out into the run down hoods (that's what happened to my friend's mom once she got a raise finally at her job, get this it was only a $1 dollar raise! their rent went from 300 to 700 from just that).
If you are in-between 25 to 35 years old (something like that) you will not be able to get free Medicare. It's odd I know they cut out the middle year old people and only provide for young and old. Be careful, Medicare doesn't cover everything in many States, like the dentist ... you should check it out before you commit to this plan.
If you can do all that without much hassle I'll be surprised. It's easy to get on food stamps, it's harder and it takes longer to do all the other stuff you've mentioned. Take financial aid for instance, you apply ahead of time and then it's a waiting game to see if you qualify or not, which they don't tell you until a month before school starts (annoying).
Been there, done that (but not all of it since I was still a dependent under my mom, my family was all born in the USA unless you count my grate grandma and grandpa).
I've been on food stamps, I qualify now and then for financial aid for my college. We tried to get my BF looked at for a serious medical problem but he's in the age group that can't be covered so we're slowly saving up $1,500 which is kind of hard for us considering monthly bills. I know other people who go through the rest like section 8. Some section 8 housing is nice, others OK, and other's I wonder if they've been checked for mold and other housing problems I swear.
Your plan does not offend me one bit, the choices are up to you. It's not my life.
;-)

You would never be entitled to all those services Cincy, I think they base it on your last 3 quarters wages? I think you would have to starve for approximately 9 months before you are eligible for any of those services. Somebody may need to correct that. I feel your pain on the health insurance, ours is the size of a mortgage payment now and we are pretty young.
Pfo,
Education is a government ***funded*** service (taxpayers) - they do not seem to be afraid to send their kids to school, they are working and according to you they are all paying taxes, that my friend brings you to the attention of quite a few government agencies, to name a few Social Security, Medicare, IRS, State Tax Dept and any local taxes that apply - that's a lot of attention.
EDIT:
Summermoon,
I did NOT say education was welfare, Pfo says they want to hide out from government agencies and I simply said that would be hard to do while putting your child in the public educational system AND paying taxes.... Read the above

I'm with you a 110% all Americans need to do this if we all went through all the loop holes and stopped paying taxes the government would have no choice but too solve the problem and they would be out of business and since they arnt fighting for us any more i say they should be out of business

Sounds like a plan to me. But you can't do this with only one child...doesn't sound fair. Why not pop out a half dozen more babies while you're at it. Screw personal responsibility! The more the merrier (and more $$$ from the Govt).
Edited to add: I agree with Chuck_Jr. LOL!

Since you are legal cincy, they can use my tax dollars for your continuing education. At least, I'll know they aren't being wasted on illegal aliens.

It all contradicts what you stand for. You want to be and live like an illegal immigrant but I thought you are against them, you don't like how they live here in the US and how you assume the get everything for free.
I wouldn't blame illegals for those decision they had to make, blame the US and other countries where came from.
