The purpose of this life...
What is the purpose of this life?
Money, holidays, a beautiful wife?
There is no point in us denying
Each heart beat brings us closer to dying
You'll breathe your last
Your life will have past
Don't pretend
Death's not the end
You will taste death, death never waited
Look around you, everything's created
It has a creator, it has a meaning
A mother gives birth and then comes it's weaning
The sun rises and gives us light
It sets, then falls, the blanket of night
The plants all grow, when falls the rain
They give fruits to man, and they too will wane
Why does man think that he will get away?
Spending life aimlessly, as if he's here to stay
A fixed time is appointed, everything will perish
Everything you hate, everything you relish
Except the Almighty Allah, He will remain
And then will come judgement, all on one plain
Allah will say, I gave you life
I gave you health, wealth and a wife
What did you do with your time?
What did you do in your prime?
Did you spread my message, did you spread islam?
Why not? Did you not read the Quran?
My friends, we muslims, we are so blessed
Allah gave us islam to supercede all the rest
My non-muslim friends, the Quran must be read
Read before it's too late and you're dead
You owe it to yourselves, it will make you cry
You'll know these words are from the Lord most High
Instructing mankind to the purpose of life
And the reward my friends is everlasting life
Our purpose is to worship our Lord most High
The reward is heaven where no one will die
You'll have anything you want, all the best dishes
And Almighty Allah will grant all of your wishes
This life my friends is just a cage
We should live by His orders, to be safe from his rage
You will understand when you read the holy Quran
You'll know the religion of truth is islam
Protect yourself and your families from hell
Embrace islam and all will be well
For the deeds of this life, you'll pay the price
In the depths of hell or in paradise

Yes, you are taking it out of context. The context was some 1300 years ago. Why do you assume this was a declaration of undying principle? But to answer the statement you are making behind your question, the Bible is no less violent than the Quran. These were different, more brutal times. Furthermore, all ancient texts are taken out of context when applied to the present day. How is this quote any different? Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB: If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.

A New Leaf
The cold winter over, the blasting winds subside,
The snow is melting from the curb and it divides.
Everything is the way it should be clean and clear,
My mind is on a straight path I have no fear.
I see a new life, a new hope as the snow is gone,
Together Insh’Allah we will pray like a bird’s song.
Never in my life would I have seen this road,
The road that Allah SWT has choose.
The bark of a cold winter makes a fresh line in the tree,
As I see a new hope, a new dream, a new life for me.
I am in love it seems for the first time,
I see you in my life, beside me in a line.
Your mother’s eyes twinkle as she sees you smile,
Tears of joy run down her face, as we walk that mile.
A life of hope, love and excitement for us,
I promise you all your dreams without any fuss.
Never would have I ever guess it so for me,
These simple words pour from my heart like a new leaf on a tree.

Most of us are created with five senses. Sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. With some exceptions,( the blind, deaf, etc.) But even then they have most of their senses. Life requires a negative and a positive, when it comes to our senses. Hot/cold, dry/wet, sad/happy, pain/pleasure, up/down, front/back, love/hate, laugh/cry, etc/etc. So if we are to have good, we must have evil also. Both good and evil were put in the same tree that God put in the midst of the garden. God told us what would happen if we ate of that tree, but I'm not so sure that "thou shalt not", was a command. God surely knew that Adam and Eve would disobey Him, or He would not have ordained a "Savior" of the world, before the foundation of the world.(before the creation of the world.) It is all in His great plan. One of these glorious days we, as His children on earth, will be His perfected children in Heaven. And this life on earth is for training. Why do we have to learn evil??....Gen 3:22 And the Lord God said, behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat and live forever...... Then God banned man from the garden. God's whole plan is in this one verse, Gen.3:22 Man must learn both good and evil, because God knows both good and evil. WE can not live forever in both, hence we must all die.God knows about evil, although in God's realm evil is not experienced. And we must experience both good and evil in this lifetime, in order to have the knowledge that our Father does. And one day we will live in Gods realm knowing about evil but never experiencing it. But we will also know that evil is not a desire within us.We will be purified and perfected by fire (all of us) for God is a consuming fire.

You want to know the meaning of life eh? Well, it's nothing very special really. 'Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.'

When I die, I'll go to Heaven. To dress in White and join Jesus' chorus line. And we'll sing a song and dance the dance choreographed at the dawn of time. And he'll tell me, "I told you son, you would die."

Jesus answered this question well; to Love God with all our hearts and mind and to LOVE ONE ANOTHER as we love ourselves.
Luke 10; 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
