How rude is it when out of courtsey, you let other drivers have priority on the road, and they drive right on by without thanking you? This makes me SO-O-O MAD!!!

It drives me insane too! It's not like I have to stop and pull over to let them pass but, when I do, how much effort does it take for them to even just lift a couple of fingers off the steering wheel to acknowledge that as they pass!?! Maybe this should be added into the driving test as it seems to be something lacking with many motorists!

everyone cannot drive with one hand and raise the other hand to say thank you. Some people really need to focus on the road, but my question to you is Do you really let people control your emotions?

This is a world with all different kinds of people and they are not as nice as you may be, but you can't let people rudeness have an affect in your life. This could lead to heart attacks, strokes and all kinds of illness. continue to be kind even to those who are unkind because they are the people who needs it the most. Wish you well.

I always acknowledge a driver who gives way or allows me precedence. I appreciate being similarly thanked for doing the same in reverse. The majority of pedestrians wave or nod their thanks when I stopped at a crossing. The fact of not responding graciously is a sign of bad manners and that anoys me intensely. The same as when you hold a door for someone and they just charge through with no acknowledgement whatsoever. I hate rude people. There is no need for it .

I think the same way you do although I normally trying not to paying attention if the do or don't because some of them are reaally, really rude, not to mention the ones that don't even put the signals on and they are ON THE PHONE!!!!.
There are many rude drivers out there and I think the numbers are stacking up. One day, I had this driver who I gave them the way to go (actually, I didn't have other choice) in my way out of a parking lot and then, in my way into the freeway, he cut me again!!! so when I blocked him in the highway to pass me for 3rd time, he got so mad that he started menacing me, giving me the finger, and all sort of stuff... it's like they do it all the time but you do it the same once, they freak out, could you believe it? they should be in jail, period.

What happens here is you let one person go, and the next TEN zoom right behind him!
Most people around here think they have the right to cut people off to get in the road anyway.

Me, I'd rather make a right and turn around than obstruct traffic making a left onto a busy street.
Much less stressful!

I wouldn't say it makes me furious but it does upset me. In such a world that we live in it is now rare to find someone that offers a random act of kindness such as letting you have the right of way on the road. It gets to me when you go out of your way to let that person have priority and they keep going on as if it never happened. They need to think about how long they would be waiting there if a nice person such as your self had not extended kindness to them, then take a second and lift a hand.

Yes - it's very rude. I think it's a small symptom of a larger problem in this society - a total lack of respect for your fellow human and a basic selfishness that is infecting every aspect of our lives.

What happened to "Do as you would be done by"?

Drives me out of my mind. I ALWAYS keep the other driver in mind and will give them right of way when possible. Nothing worse than them getting it, EXPECTING it, then driving by with a scowl??? What is wrong with these people?

Bet they drive a BMW or a 4x4. You should know by now that they own the road, especially 4x4 drivers on their way to the north face of Tescos car park.Won`t swear in open forum.
