I want to know what is the best way to preserve soda from losing its "fizz"? I have bought bottles from places and had them sitting in my home for a while maybe 1-2 weeks. And when I crack em open they often are flat and nasty. I know that certain stores have "bad" soda so I was curious is there any way to preserve "good" soda once you buy it?

no once you buy soda and open it it loses it fizz after a few days in my experience. If you do not open it, it has an expiration date on it of around 3-6 months later

I would preserve it by not opening it and letting the co2 out.
also do not put a bottle that was opened in the fridge it seems to go flat alot faster.

If it's in a 20 oz. or a liter bottle, I tighten the top with pliers! That's how I do it!
