I'm looking for a way to strengthen my lower abdominal muscles. I do tons of crunches, but the typical crunch does nothing for my lower abs. Help?

Thats because crunches target the upper abs, to target the lower abdominal muscles you need to incorporate leg raises in your routine.

*Lay flat on your back with your hands at your sides.
Put your legs in the air at a ninety degree angle or straight up.
Lift your butt off the floor. Even a couple of inches works great.

**Sit upright in a chair with feet flat on the floor.
Lift your legs at a ninety degree angle, feet off the floor.

***Take a pilates class in a group or on DVD.
This helps your core, how to do it and do the exercises right.

Good luck, these have worked great for me!
