Actually, I am fond of what one of the Answerers above me just said, that it's because you *are* smart enough to start questioning things, and to actually think about your role and your life, in relation to the world around you. ^_^ It does make sense.
However....and I hate to spoil your fun, but you need to keep an eye on this. Nothing major, nothing to worry about, but you should keep track of these new thoughts, just make a note of how often (how many times a day, or a week) they happen.
Why? Because if they start to become a constant issue, a problem that bugs you every day, all the time, you'll have to bring it up with your doctor. This is also true if you *also* start to feel as if you're not a person, or not real yourself, along with this.
The state of mind you're describing, *when* it becomes a serious problem (and I'm *not* saying it is one, ok?) is called Derealization. Meaning it's a reaction your mind has to distress, to basically blank out the world and refuse to believe it's serious or real at all. Its cousin, Depersonalization, is the same sort of thing, only you end up refusing to believe *you're* real or a real person. Either one of these things can mean that you are having some anxiety or stress problems that need some attention.
But like I said, I don't *think* this is a problem for you....you haven't said this is a constant thing that bothers you, instead (from your Question) it seems more like something that comes up on occasion. So....it's too early to tell.
So yeah....I'd say just keep an eye on it, nothing serious, nothing major, just make a note to yourself as to how often these thoughts happen, roughly, and whether or not they bother you.
I hope this helps....and thanks for your time. ^_^ I hope you get well soon.

That question has been asked by people through the ages.
"I think, therefore I am" Rene Descartes
You really can't prove that life is nothing but a dream nor can you disprove it. Our whole existence could be contained in a speck of dust in a much much much larger universe. We could all be just players in your dream and this post is actually your subconscious mind playing tricks on you.
It is a very deep thought and you should be proud that you are smart enough to have thought about it. Most people go through life is a haze and don't question anything.

I feel like that sometimes too.
A lot of people do. It's a normal philosophical question people ask themselves about their existence and the universe. Nothing to do with depression or anything.

the name of this philosophical theory is solipsism; that is, the idea that "I" (or you if I were you) is the only "real" independent thinking thing in the universe. everything and everyone else is a mirage within your own mind, pretending to be real.

My husband gets feelings like this. He is on antidepressants and when he starts to feel like that the doctor makes an adjustment in his meds and it goes away. So, it's possible you are having a reaction to your meds. Talk to your doctor about it.

You know because you go to sleep and wake up everyday. You experience pain and it doesn't always subside immediately. And if someone pinches me it will only hurt, I won't wake up!
