Find a drive through claim center and make an appointment. they will make an estimate and cut you a check on the spot. The check will made to you and the lienholder. you then take that to a shop and they will handle it. I dont think the lienholder will be hip to the car not being repaired professionally. Think about it. That car is an investment they have made. They will not want its value compromised by slipshod repairs.

Best bet is to go to a State Farm Service First shop. they will handle it all for you. all you have to do is cover the deductible.

I have had State Farm for years. In the case of an accident with a lein holder, they gave me names of certified repair shops to get the damage repaired after they did the appraisal. The check had to be written to the shop. Only way around this is if your are certified in body repair.

Depends on state laws and the written wording of your particular policy, however, I believe State Farm will write you a check up to $3,000 without the leinholder being listed. If repairs are $3,001.00, then both parties have to be listed on the check.

You cant just get a check for the repairs. As your leinholder is the owner of the vehicle.. the check must be made out to you AND the lienholder or you AND a body shop. No getting around it.

NOPE... Insurance companies have to respect the lienholder on the policies. Therefore they will either make pmt directly to you & lienholder, or to you & a shop of your choice.

they won't "wright" a check, no. They'll pay a body shop directly. Nice try, though.
