its been about 2 hours....is there something to stop it or do you just have to wait it out?

thanks everyone ha i was watching tv and fell asleep when i woke up it was mostly worn off =]

Depends how much you got injected with. It will take more than 2 hours. Just wait it out. If you need to go to sleep and by the time you wake up it should be ok. As you can feel it start to wear off treat it like your leg is asleep...move the area and rub your hand over it to stimulate the nerves.

there's no way to stop it. take it from a girl who has gotten novocaine at least 7 times in the past 2 years. all you can do is sit around and wait for the tingly feeling [like you get when your leg falls asleep] to start. that's when you know it's wearing off. it typically takes 3 to 4 hours, and i don't recommend trying to eat, drink, or shower [i almost passed out once when i showered while i was numb...apparently some reaction happened there but that might not have been it].
just watch some tv, hang out on the computer, and before you know it, you'll be able to feel again!

It will depend on how much you were given and if it was mixed with anything before being injected. Normally 4-6 hours.

It should be wearing off with in the next hour or so. You'll start to feel it tingle and you know its wearing off.
