Yes, I am too curious about many things, and this is one of them. At what point would people not want to live anymore? If you were handicapped, to what measure is life enjoyable? I know what I think, but I want to know what others think/feel too...

To me, it's all about quality. That's because I have a lot of severe health problems. I'm on oxygen, so without the oxygen life would be unbearable. I also have severe pain, so without my pain meds, there would be no reason to live to be 100. I think only people who are very healthy say they want to live to be 120+. Interesting question; deserves a star! :)

Both are pretty much the same. Both are very important.
I'm assuming you feel like you don't want to live anymore. And you are handicapped.
I would try to get all that I could out of every minute of life that I am allowed. God has a plan for all of us and we are to do all that we can for ourselves and for others. If you are in pain; I can see that it is more difficult to get all that you can out of life. Hopefully there is something to help pain.
When I was 11 or 12 years old, I had rheumatic fever and I wasn't able to go to the bathroom for over a year. I got better and live a good life now. I have two grown children and a grand child.
We have to carry on as much as possible. Get and give all that we can. It seems to carry us through.
I hope you can find what you need to enjoy life as much as you can. I hope that you are a Christian and ask God to give you everything that you need to carry on. Eternal life with God is ahead of all of us who believe in Him and trust He will see us through. It will be worth the trip. Heaven...God Bless You.

Quality. I really don't have a concept of quantity unless you refer to longevity of as quantity. About 94% of ones longevity is determined by the quality of their lifestyle. DNA contributes to one's disease fighting ability, however, the variables involved in this ability result in a sort of selective resistance. If I die immediately after I submit this answer, I am OK with that. I have enjoyed a quality existance, and really see no end to my life.

I like your question, To me quality of life is the ability to laugh.I would never want to be in a wheelchair or be paralyzed. But I knew a man who was a quadriplegic and he would always tell jokes and always had a smile on his face. I would say his life was far from great but he was making the best out of a terrible situation. Several years ago I broke my neck and had to go through several surgeries. I am fine now. But it was that man who encouraged me when I thought my life was over.
