not having a shred of scientific knowledge?
Would you like to look into the night sky and believe the planets are actually angels spying on you?
Would you like to fall to your knees and beg god for forgiveness, standing by helplessly every time a loved one got a disease or infection?
Do you long for the days of looking out at the ocean and feeling terror at the thought of giant sea serpents waiting to consume any sailor who loses sight of land, or worse, seeing those sailors fall off the edge of the Earth!
Do you yearn for people you dislike to fall prey to plagues, droughts, famines, and other divinely delivered punishments?
Do you wish you could legally stone your neighbors unmarried daughter for having sex with the boy across the street?
Do you feel the urge to sacrifice a goat or a lamb to ensure that your garden will do will this spring?
If you don't believe in any of the ridiculous things people did 2000 years ago, why do you still believe the things they wrote in a book?

Great question.
Unfortunately, it will go way over their heads. Fundies are impervious to logic and common sense.
It would suck to live then. I prefer indoor plumbing. On that note, speaking of plumbing and all, if I did live back then I would have wanted to be a man. We, indoor plumbing people, had to work too hard.

It helps to start with why boys tend to flock towards action stories. By nature men are hunter/gatherers and their heads follow suit. Society has followed suit as well, to an extent (a lessening extent as we continue through the century). Boys are generally more encouraged to be interested in action stories than girls, who are more encouraged to be interested in romance. This isn't a fault of society really, you can't blame people for being influenced by their bodies. Anyway, the attraction girls tend to have towards love stories is pretty much the same in nature of that of boys towards action stories, naturally the most important role a woman plays is that of childbirth, which is intrinsically linked to romance. Biology really affects a lot of how you act, alongside the influence of society. And when you consider that society is influenced by biology you realize just how strong the influence is.

Ah, the good old days.
Actually, aside from all that negative stuff, I wouldn't mind being in a less technologically advanced world sometimes. I'd want running water, though.

I do sometimes wish we could still stone people, and not go to prison for it, but at the same time, If I get to stone, I might be stoned(by rocks) myself. That would be BAD
