I just bought a wireless spy camera that runs at 2.4ghz t spy on my son who I believe is a heroin dealer. I need this camera to hear and see things but the signal just isnt strong enough to produce static free sound or video. Is there anyway I could get something to make this signal between the camera and the signal receiver stronger? I cant unscrew the current antenna from the receiver to put a stroner on on so I dont know what to do. Please help.

Difficult if the aerials (antenna) are fixed, but a few obvious - and not so obvious ideas follow:-

Move receiver closer to aerial.

If camera is battery operated, use alkaline or lithium

Keep aerial away from metal - and water

Keep receiver away from cables / metal / water / solid walls

Try and ensure aerials are aligned - in other words, if the camera aerial is going horizontal - make sure the receiver is too - if you have one horizontl and one vertical you will have MUCH poorer range than you need to have

Strangely, if you get a metal dustbin lid or a wok, you can sometimes get moderate increases in gain by placing the aerial (or whole receiver in this case) at the focal point of the wok. It will take a little adjusting and trial - and error - but see if having the wok as a reflector and then pointing the whoile thing towards the camera makes a difference. It should

Lastly, so some searching in Ebay / local stores and buy another kit - but this time get one which can use external aerials.

if u can figure out how to connect it to your rcvr.
