Try a foot bath in warm water with some salt and if you prefer some aromatic compounds to help you destress. Lie down with your feet put up at a higher elevation for some time.

Sounds like what I have which is called Plantar Fascitis. (I hope I spelled that right) I have been checking it out and it looks like one can get inserts for their shoes and/or some kind of brace to wear at night to hold the foot up. A Pharmacist friend of mine, who has the same thing, said that my Dr. could make an Rx. for me to take to a place that makes inserts and those replacement limbs ,(I can't remember what they are called) and they would make a mold of my foot and then make the inserts to fit me.

i work in retail and have the same pain!! what has helped me is to sleep with my feet slightly elevated and invest in some comfortable shoes...they might be pricey but they are totally worth it!
