Ever noticed before a cats uses it, they sniff before they dig? Well get an empty spray bottle. Put 1/4 of it with White Vinegar and fill up the rest of the bottle with water. Spray anywhere that she uses it. She will hate the smell of the vinegar. Also, get her potty box and clean it out really good with bleach, etc. There might be a smell besides her own, that she does not like in the potty box. Good luck!

Fill the base of the pot with large pine cones (on top the dirt). If the cat decides these are toys and just pulls them out, you can use pencils poked into the dirt instead - to stop her from going into the pot.

Otherwise I'd hang the plant from the ceiling to keep it out of her way.

As soon as she's done it just once, her scent will be in there. I would change the soil and pot the plant in a new pot... then put in another spot. She won't even know it's the same plant... just make sure you don't let her do it again! Sprinkle Cayenne Pepper powder on top of the soil... she'll learn a lesson if she tries to climb in there again!

Take your plant outdoors and spray it and if possible leave it out of the house for afew weeks. See if the cat stops. When he uses the box reward hm and tell him how good he is.

My cat does that. The only plant that she can't do it to is my aloe vera. The leaves are a little spiky and they spring back when she gets near it.

I hear they do that when they're unhappy with their litter boxes.

lemon spray, like said above, or orange peel should work. if that doesn't, think of a scent he doesn't like, and place that on or in the soil.

orange peel is good for the plant anyway.
