No. Very few scientists made ice age predictions in the '70s based on the short-term cooling:

The media just blew it out of proportion. Scientists have provided overwhelming evidence that human greenhouse gas emissions are the primary cause of the current global warming:

Since your theory requires some unknown cause of global warming, this does not fit with the reality that we know what's causing it.

Global warming and ice ages are natural cycles for our planet. We can do little to affect these cycles. Venus has huge problems with global warming even without Al Gore's huge carbon footprint. Here's the deal: It is important to be responsible stewards - to not dump toxic waste in the ocean, bring your own bag to the grocery and drive a bit less. Recycling is one of those things we need to learn to do more of and in a better way. We're doing all of that. I think we'd be much better off if we stopped fighting about it and instead encouraged initiatives to do things that are good for the planet. Find inexpensive ways to cut down on pollution, to recycle, etc. Focus on what we can do as opposed to screaming "GLOBAL WARMING!" That's how you affect real change.

A single scientist wrote a book predicting that the earth was going to cool down drastically. His name was Lowell Ponte, his book was published in 1976. It was called "The Cooling". All other weather analysts laughed it off as sensationalism. I read the book when it was on the best seller list, and I saw him on Johnny Carson. I can tell you that his predictions would have needed to start coming true by the 1980's if they were going to happen. They didnn't and they haven't sense. He had an interesting idea, and it's still around in modified form as the "Snowball Erahth" theory. But it was one guy and his supporters, not the opinion of science as a whole. Go back and read every issue of ANY reputable scientific journal published in the 1970's. You might find a mention of Ponte's book, or not, but you won't find a prediction of this sort by the scientific community, mainly because it did not happen.

Conspiracy theories are good for a joke but this is stretching it. Core samples confirm that CO2 level rises in the atmosphere commenced around the middle of the industrial revolution and have continued to rise, accelerate even. If it was an experiment then it has been going on for a long time.

Thank for asking this. Maybe I can finally get the truth out. They monitor me pretty closely. Answers is the only place I mite be able to slip this thru their filters.
You see my involvement in this started my second day in kindergarten you see I was doing my finger painting and some lite thinking you know stuff like quantum physics & how to bend time and space, well the pretty color aways help me think, some how my painting got noticed and on my third day I was visited by these people wearing these real goth clothes I remember thinking they could use some color in their out fits. Well back to my story they recruted me into their "little club" that's what they called it. They took me to Area 15 to see their leader his name al gore but we all just called him "A". so I was given my first assignment I had to figure out a way to keep our facility secret. I came up with having you all run around in the desert looking for area 51 in stead of L.A.... I shouldn't have said that! But playing mind games with you Sheep got boring quik it was just to easy your so gulible. So back to how I stoped the new Ice age ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that was my plan. But "A" wanted to go to the Lowest bidder for the nano devices. He pick a Chinese Co. Ho CHI ? oh I forget the name. So when we recieved the nanos from China I tested them and found they were defective "A" said it was all My fault do you Know what that does to a 7 year old? I'd given the best year of my life to this project I didn't want to use the lowest bidder. "A" said the Sun project would-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that is how we got into this mess. With the Money I made from inventing the spicy porkrine I'm working with a comany in Honduras using a sports wear sweat shop as cover to make my counter NANOS and will send them to the Sun later this year they should counteract the earlier nanos. Please give me five more years and I should have our temps dropping. I can only guess what kind of damage the earlier nanos did so I -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hope to gain control.
If "A" doesn't

I think that your theory is not good. Anthropogenic global warming theory has been around since the late 19th century. So it couldn't possibly be a super secret government conspiracy from the 70's.

I think you judge incorrectly. That is because you do not really understand magnetic fields, orbital devices, and other such things, so your imagination makes up all kinds of improbable and impossible ideas. It is very much like blaming any random problem on witchcraft or evil spirits.

NO.
The world is trying to end it,and the temperature is going up.And ever since the industrial revolution in the 1700's,global warming has been happening. So we've had global warming for about,210 years right now.

I think you're watching too much Sci Fi. Occam's Razor says the scientists simply keep getting it wrong. That's no surprise, considering that weathermen are notoriously bad at predicting the future!
Global Warming AND Cooling are both figments of the Liberals' imagination. That's why they had to go to 'global climate'.

Uh, no. There is no such thing as a static climate. The climate changes all the time, sometimes it gets warmer, sometimes it gets cooler, but it is always changing.
Man has nothing to do with this as this is natural and has been going on since the beginning of time.
