If I mailed a helium balloon, would the post office owe me money? That would be so awesome. I could become a millionaire by mailing balloons to strangers. The fact that nobody has done this yet tells me that it is a fantastic idea that the post office doesn't want you to know about.

What Are you suggesting that because the Helium is lighter than air there would be no weight? because the box would still weigh something!

If your balloon gets damaged (pops) before it gets to the destination, I think they will have to give you money as long as it is recorded delivary.
