I have known this girl for quite some time, we have never dated but we have been very close, a while back she was raped by someone of a popular family in the town, nobody believed her, i stuck with her as the whole town hated her, and eventually me too. We stuck together for a long time, we loved each other immensely, but recently when i confronted her that I loved her more then just friends, she didn't feel the same way now it hurts to see her, or hear her voice, she still wants to be friends, but the way I see it i have two choices:

1. Cut off all comunications with her, in an attempt to get over her, even though I love her...

or

2. Keep in touch with her as a constant reminder that I failed to win her love...

Any advice would be helpful, and i mean ANY...

TO be honest how much you love her? If you love her so, you will stay with her and be friends. Love her is what makes her happy, dont think selfish, and care about what she feeling inside.

or...

3. Keep in touch, be a friend, find someone else to live happily ever after with.

Just because she doesn't feel the same way about you doesn't mean that you're doomed to a life of solitary gloom and mopery. Get out, circulate, meet someone else. Odds are that there are many people you could be happy with - you just have to get out and meet them.

Or you can view life as an either/or situation as you outlined above, and miss out on meeting someone new. It's your choice.

And it IS a choice.
