No, at least not for not being Catholic.
The Catholic Church teaches:
Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.
Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.
All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

With love in Christ.

I'm not catholic, but I want to answer all the same...
I come from Italy, a country where most people are catholic or at least pretend to be catholic...but actually I don't trust any church.
Neverthless, I was wondering...does to be a catholic imply to be better than the others?
does it imply to behave yourself in a way that atheists or people coming from other religions can't do?
because if not, and the answer is definitely not...why shouldn't an atheist person has the opportunity to get into the heaven?
Because if u are catholic, then u believe that there is only one God...and as the catholic church has alway said..."God loves everybody, doesn't He?
so, if u are not catholic but u behave yourself (and I know many atheist people that do much more good to the other than some catholic, who just pretend to be catholic...), if u have respect to the others and treat them well, if u lead a rightful life and so on...
do u really think that God will forget about u?
do u really think that He will give up on you?
I don't think so.
And I don't think that those who believe that are real catholic.
Of course this is only my personal opinion.

As a Catholic I believe that if you follow the Ten Commandments (they aren't suggestions) lead a good life, follow the Beatitudes, that you will go to Heaven. I really hope that my husband and all my friends that aren't Catholic will be joining me in Heaven. We are all striving for the same things as Christians and other faiths - peace, happiness and a Heaven, no matter what you call it is the same.
God Bless

There are ample opportunities to receive God's grace through the sacraments, but this does not mean that non-Catholics go to Hell.
I am sure that there are Catholics and non-Catholic Christians in Heaven. I am sure that there are Catholics and non-Catholic Christians in Hell.

I believe that non-Catholics can go to Heaven (which is what the Church teaches). I also believe that Catholics, since we have access to all the tools Christ gave us to help us get to Heaven, have an surer path.

I don't believe that non-Catholics get an automatic ticket to Hell. God will judge each person, not me. It's not my business to say who's going to Hell and who's not.

find scripture to reinforce what you believe, take nothing for granite, test your source, that way you can believe in what you seek without any waive in judgement
