Burton is certainly locked in... I don't think there is any mathematical way for him to be knocked out as long as he shows up for the races... 7 -12 are the guys in jeopardy... 10-12 are the the guys really sweating it though...

Harvick and Gordon. Kyle Busch needs to start between the subsequent races and Carl Edwards might desire to start the two between the subsequent 2 races. A driver can in undemanding terms make up 161 factors at a given race. triumphing and greatest the main laps will earn a driver 195 factors. The forty third place automobile gets 34 factors.

No one is "locked-in" yet as you can lose as many as 161 points of the points lead in a race and since there are still 6 races left, Gordon could lose 966 of his points lead to the 12th place driver (Earnhardt, Jr.) who is 859 points out of the lead. If Gordon has a lead of at least 806 points over the 12th place driver after this weeks race at Pocono, he will be locked into the chase for the cup.

i would say 1-5 are locked in and 6-12 still have to race real hard to stay in.

1-8 are locked in. I think Junior probably is since he probably has all his bad luck out of the way. The ones in danger are Truex and Bowyer.

Mathematically, nobody's locked in yet. Nothing's clinched. Couple more weeks.
