Yep, they're a nonregulated species, I think if you have over 50 per day FWC might get a bit testy with you, but other than that, as long as they're not eagle rays or anything like that, you're fine. And as far as I figure it, if you're taking them home and eating them, it's much better than the buttholes that catch them on accident and bludgeon them to death just because they don't want to catch them anymore that day. I personally think stingrays are neat-o and fun to play with as long as one is careful of the spine... nice fight too, not to mention that more people have eaten them than think they have... all those cookie-cutter scallops you get at restaraunts, etc.... that's what you've got, not shellfish, but stingrays. Nifty stuff... anyway, there I go rambling again.....

Florida has no limit on sting rays. They are tasty. Need to get all the membrane off wings after skinning. Flour, egg wash, panko crumbs, pan fry. YUM YUM.
