I sent him a message on myspace asking him if he wants to get together somethime,he replied right away with yes and then asked where I work because he said he was just being nosey. (i cut hair) so i replied with: 'why,do you need a haircut'?and now its been a day,he got the message and no reply. Is he interested in me? Why is it a big deal where i work?

Maybe you can give him a break and assume that something has come up in his life that he has to take care of. I would not jump to any conclusions yet.
