He works everyday in my life. He provides me air to breathe, a roof over my head, everything I need. He can also work in mysterious ways as well. I don't question the Big Guy.

Because some person in the bible was the focal point of what God was doing at a particular time an place...some people erroneously conclude that to have a relationship with the Creator, God must play 'Cosmic Bellhop' and be at their beck and call. He never was.

Nowadays God works only through His Son, Christ Jesus. As Paul longsuffered, we as Christians do the same, by only resting and rejoicing in Christ are we comforted. Being a Christian doesn't mean your life should be easier, less sickly or financially taken care of, it just means we are:
Col 2: 10 "And ye are COMPLETE IN HIM, which is the head of all principality and power:"
