this might seem like a trivial question to some but this really bothered me... I went to my "friends" house last weekend and i forgot my favourite jacket in her closet.. so, the following week i told her i'd pick it up, so she agreed....anyway, come saturday, i went to pick it up and she said she forgot it on the bus..apparently, she got up and realised she had forgotten it..this is the same girl we both female that i have been nice to, she also has the nerve to come to my office and sit there talking. my boss finally told her to stop interrupting me after months and months of her pointless visits. what should i do about my jacket and her so called friendship?

Tell her *ss to get down to the bus station and get your freaking jacket back. If she refuses or puts up a fuss, she's not your friend. She sounds really self-absorbed. That's so rude coming to your work and just yapping your ear off, that show's very little respect for you and your workplace. If she gets your jacket back, you should ditch her anyway. She's an energy drainer.

The jacket is immaterial to your friendship unless:

You have more to go on that one careless incident. After all, but the way, you were careless too.

or

You are mostly p ssed that she does not offer to pay you.

It sounds to me like you need to take some ownership of these issues too. She was thoughtless in talking to you at work. On the other hand, you were irresponsibile in not telling her she would have to leave after a couple of minutes.

If you have to question the friendship then it's most likely not real.

Since she lost your jacket ask her to buy one back or give you the money for it.

If she b*tches, she isn't your friend. Tell her where to go.

in the first place she should not have worn ur jacket with ur knowledge, now that she misplaced it, u cant tell her to buy it for u so i suggest u let it go, and about her so called friendship, try to tell her or talk to her what she does wrong that u dont like.
