Well, I believed in Santa and the Tooth Fairy before. But when I grew up, I found out myself that I knew they were fake people. It didn't upset me or anything. And it didn't killed my believe system today.

Yes, I believed in them when I was a kid, but no it didn't impact my belief system when I found out they were fake. It kind of made sense to me that they were made up. And I do believe in God because I know He is real. I can differentiate between made-up fairy tales and God. It's unfortunate so many others cannot.

I believed in them. My stint in catechism was what lead me to wondering if they were real. Actually learning about Jesus and God, and thinking how absurd it all sounded, got me thinking about the absurdity of all invisible creatures.

I was 8.

I was upset about Santa, though not any of the others, including god.

Yep believed in them and god and other myths too. then I grow up and found they are all just interesting myths. Now I look for the evidence to any story. It so helps with used car sales, insurance sales, religious doorstep sales etc.

No, I did not believe in any of those.

So, obviously I couldn't be upset.

There was no impact, but perhaps a correlation.

No, my parents never lied to me. I was well aware that those lies were being told to my peers, it didn't effect my beliefs.
