Catholic Nuns used to (and some still do) wear "habits" - they vary according to which group of nuns they belong to - some are all white, some are mostly black with a bit of white on the head gear, some are blue and white.

Catholic Priests wear vestments (robes) during mass - they often change during the seasons/liturgical calendar year.

Monks wear brown robes with rope/cording as a belt and usually a cross hangs from it.

Cardinals wear all red.

Bishops wear purple.

The Pope wears off white (usually) with a funny pointy hat.

I can only answer based on Catholicism since I was raised Catholic.

Some female Catholic parishoners wear a lace veil over their hair when they attend mass.

Well it would depend on the type or branch of the religion that the person is in to determen the garb that they would wear!
