Unconditional love is foolish and offers no solution to the problems of society.
Example: Would you love, unconditionally, someone who made a habit of punching babies? If so, would your behavior increase or decrease the occurance of baby-punching?

Sometimes being positive can be a really good thing.
I had a pretty lousy weekend, but I was actually slightly cheered up by a cheesy slogan on a local radio station: "106.9, where just tuning into our station is an accomplishment that will make you feel good the rest of the day." It helps that it's an 80s station.
