yes, unless you choose the option 'delete pics from camera once transferred' - look out for a similar option - be careful of that, and you will be okay.

After you upload your pictures to your computer, they will still be on your memory card. If you wish to delete them off of your memory card, there is usually a little trash bin button on the camera, and you push that button for each image you want to delete.
However, if you wish to delete all of the images on your memory card at once, just go into the camera's menu, and select "Format Memory Card." This option will delete all of the images on you memory card, and subsequent folders, and reformat your card. This is recomended every now and then to keep the card in its fastest working condition.
However, before you delete your images off of the memory card, I would recomend that you burn them to a CD. Therefore, you have a backup of your pictures incase you have computer troubles in the future. There is nothing worse than loosing hundreds of pictures when your computer dies and not having a backup copy of them.

Yes, they are still in your camera. The pics need to be deleted if you want them gone. Or, the camera does have a format option in the menu.

Yes, your pics are still there in your camera. When you upload the pics from your camera to the PC, your pics are just being copied and sent to the PC where you can save them.

Depends on which command you give on uploading. If you click 'copy' then the pictures will remain on the camera until deleted or the card formatted. However if you click 'move' then they will be removed from the card/camera.
