Good question! May seem nearly impossible, if not impossible, considering we live in a world that fills us with many types of anxieties! The scriptures surely can help!

Read these articles (they contain scriptures w/ a hope):

The Bible tells us at Psalms 1:1-3 - "Happy is the man that has not walked in the counsel of the wicked ones, And in the way of sinners has not stood, And in the seat of ridiculers has not sat.  But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, And in his law he reads in an undertone day and night. And he will certainly become like a tree planted by streams of water, That gives its own fruit in its season. And the foliage of which does not wither, And everything he does will succeed."

Psalms 55:22 - "Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, And he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter."
1 Peter 5:7 - "while YOU throw all YOUR anxiety upon him, because he cares for YOU."

Besides helping us cope with the sorrow of death, Bible counsel can also help us to deal with economic and health problems. It can give you strength to endure social injustice and political turmoil. And if you apply its guidance in your life, it can help you to deal with other personal problems.

You won't find anything in the bible. Coping with life's anxieties requires cognitive thought and reasoning through your problems.

I usually find that stress is worst when I eat junk food or miss sleep. Usually a good, healthy meal and a nap will fix my bad feelings.

If I don't have that luxury, I close my eyes, imagine a peaceful scene, and take deep breaths until my heartbeat slows down.

In severe circumstances (e.g. before an exam) I go the opposite route, working myself up into a frenzy until I throw up. Surprisingly, that calms me and helps me perform well. I did that before I took the GRE, and I got the best score my graduate advisor had ever seen.

Winged Wolf's answer sounds fine, though I prefer Scotch myself, but to be all seriousness, just be yourself, develop a thick skin to all insults, and keep on keeping on (as Joe Dirt says) because at the end of the day you can at least say, "One more day 'till I die!" or you could come home and just relax, that's what I do.

Get outside. Observe nature. Put your problems into perspective. Works for me :)
