Been way too long! I like to cook the chops in a pan with sauerkraut. Take a package of sauerkraut and put it in a saute pan, add enough water so that the chops are immersed and simmer until chops are done. remove kraut with a slotted spoon or spider and serve with chops with apple sauce on the side. The contrast of the sourness of the kraut and the sweetness of the apple sauce is amazing!

Together? Not that I can remember. I have had pork chops, and I've had applesauce, but not together.

When I was younger, I used to visit my great-grandparents a lot on the farm, and applesauce was pretty much a staple for breakfast. Sometimes they'd give it to me as part of my lunch or supper as well. I loved it, especially if it was homemade. Homemade applesauce tastes 10 times better than the stuff you buy at the store.

I think I've had pork chops once, maybe twice. No applesauce was provided.

Probably around 1987 or so. Mom used to make that combo. And always with a side of peas and an iceberg lettuce salad.

4 years ago! Just before I moved out of my parents house. My mom was a big fan of making that...simplicity, i guess.
