now I jsut feel stupid and kidish and like I am just a jerk. Yeah I dont know what it is like like all them people were saying.

I guess I must seem stupid to everyone since I am "wasting my teenage life" which is basically what everyone seems to tink

SO am I the only person on the planet that actually still thinks I should wait to get married, I am not religious and I am not doing it for religious reasons I just want my first time to be special, I think I am worth more then just giving myself to everyone or are these ideas really out dated now and is this why I cant seem to actually get girlfriends because I jsut got an email from someone saying that as well

You stick to your principles darling. Its good to find someone who, in the face of todays immoral society, can stand firm. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting, you are a lovely guy....good on ya!

It's reality. We aren't living in the 40's anymore where people get married at 17/18 and stay together forever no matter what. Life was a lot simpler back then and there are too many options these days - divorce, living together, sperm donors (ha!). In the past, people got married and had kids. These days, everyone wants a career, a perfect house, belong to the country club, and maybe have kids. There aren't many people saving themselves anymore because it's become more and more acceptable to see 13 year olds having sex and having kids. Somewhat shameful, IMO.

Part of growing up is realizing it's your life. If you think this is the right choice then stick with and the hell with everyone else. You're the only person who'll know if the sacrifice is worth it.

Every choice you make has a price, don't whine about it. Life has many forks in the road -and if you go one way, you can't go the other. Make the most out of every second because because whatever you're doing now includes costs of everything else you choose not to do.

Oh, so you feel that an act which could result in the conception of a child which would need care and support for the next 18 years should be saved for a stable, secure relationship? How immature!

Sarcasm aside, don't let people get under your skin. Keep your high standards, just keep looking and you'll find a nice girl who shares them. People are afraid you're judging them, which is why they are on the offensive. I didn't get that at all from your question, but folks take offense easily. Hang in there. :)

NO!! of course its not wrong of you! in fact i think its right of you to abstain until marriage! after all, once you've given yourself up with someone, you have nothing left to give the person you marry; even if it happens to be the same person (chances are it won't be though!). So yeah, good for you and you will find a girlfriend!! There are loads of people out there who feel the same way as you so fear not :p I'm one of them xx

No, it's your personal choice. Who gives a damn what everybody else thinks. You're doing it for yourself, not anybody else, right? Sex nowadays is not something special. It's looked at as no big deal by kids as young as 13 or so? (maybe younger, idk).
I think it's actually really refreshing to hear someone who wants to wait instead of trying to be a manwhore all over town. I respect that, and am proud of you.

I don't think you're being stupid or kiddish, it's really good that you feel like this I think. There's nothing great about whoring yourself around, and when you do meet the love of your life I think she will respect you for not sleeping around, as well as feeling super special!!
Forget what everyone else is saying, they're just bitter that they're all raising kids at 15 because they all think sleeping around is cool!

How in the world could that be wrong of you? You have the right idea. This is what God commands any way. Good for you, stay strong. The woman you decide to marry will think its wonderful.

NO, you are not stupid or kiddish.

You've got a lot of courage to speak stand up for your convictions when you already know you have a "minority opinion", especially on an open forum site like this.

I have no idea in the world who you are, and I am very proud of you for speaking up.

Stand up for beliefs, always.
