I have the same problem as you do, except I work not go to school. I have tried many different things. Of course a doctor could always prescribe a sleeping pill, but being so young you want to avoid them and they also are known to make you very groggy in the morning. I have also taken a benadryl at night to help me sleep. There is also a natural remedy, called Valerian root, which doesn't make you groggy, but works with the chemicals in your brain to induce sleep. But since I'm not a doctor, I wouldn't do anything until you speak to a doctor or your parents first. Good luck!

There are a lot of natural sleep aids that are generally safe to take for most people (although if you're 15, you would be best off to check with a doctor that knows about supplements to be on the safe side).
There's L-Tryptophan, 5-HTP, Scullcap (an herb... it just sounds bad), L-Taurine, and Passionflower are all very popular to help people sleep naturally.
There's also things that are more for relaxation like Valerian, Chamomile, and Hops.... but some people actually wake up when they take these and are just very relaxed.

I just read a book and then sit back and relax and close my eyes slowly ,say a little prayer and fall asleep. The main thing that I do is to relax and empty my mind so I have nothing on my mind and sleep. The troubles of the day will come and the best way to tackle them is with a good sleep.

Pills are NEVER the answer, I read until I am tired then go to bed. Never exercise before you go to bed cause that will wake the body up so try a warm bath or lay with the lights out or lower for an hour to get ready for bed.

Make sure you're getting enough exercise throughout the day and eating nutritious food, no caffeine after 2pm, no sugar after dinner, do some relaxation exercises as you lay down (calm your mind). Do NOT do your worrying at night. If you start to worry, tell yourself you can deal with whatever it is tomorrow. Try listening to soft music. Pills will only make you need more pills and you'll get all weak and sickly.

Try to stick to the same schedule every day. Get up at the same time every morning. Go to bed at the same time every night. At night do the same nightly rituals. For example, floss your teeth before bed or read a very, very boring book. Do not go into your bed until you are ready to fall asleep.
