Tea has been enjoyed by people in China for thousands of years. Here's an excerpt from "color of tea"

"Legend has it that 神農 [Shen Nong] the mythical emperor of China who lived over 5000 years ago discovered tea and passed on its use to the people for its healthful qualities. In the earliest Chinese herbal medicine tome 神農本草經 [Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing] also known as “The Divine Farmer’s Materia Medica Classic,” tea is described as having the attributes of reducing phlegm and thirst, and making people less sleepy."

Coffee would be wonderful. I drink a bunch! Folks in the Northern (as well as somewhat throughout the rest of France) seem to drink a good deal of tea. There are also fruit teas which contain no caffeine that are very popular here; they are called "Tisane."

Tea is becoming more popular in the U.S. and folks across Asia and Europe have drunk it for centuries.
No matter how much cream or sweetener I add, I can't make coffee palatable. I do love the smell though.
Tea for me - a black variety in the morning to wake up, then a green or an herbal in the afternoon.

Green tea will do thank you. :]
Coffee is good but too much of that makes my stomach sour.
Also, tea is not just for English people. Asian people drink it too!
