Join the club love!!!!! Just make her food more chunky, i am a first time mom and i did not follow any of the rules. So, i started my little one on cereal not the standard 6mnths. what i did was just add more texture. as long as it is not a choking hazard you should be fine. you can give her a banana just scrape it off with a spoon or giver her wisps of chicken like really tender chicken. you could give her some of those bitter crackers and such if she has some teeth. my little one did not get teeth till 10mnths so she gummed everything. OF COURSE SHE WILL ONLY EAT SWEETS i would rather have sweets then veggies anyday---lol. I learned the hard way with that. and now she is 22mnths and is eating some more veggies. give her the peas stage 2 and see what happens just keep offering them to her. if she is nursed then of course she would want sweet since you are sweet to her meaning breast milk is sweet. just start weaning out the sweet food and only give her sweets after she eats some other things. she will catch on, don't be harsh about it but it works try mixing some stuff together too. you could give her the veggie puffs and that will work and also they have the veggie wagon wheels. just use your instinct and you will be fine. Don't worry she will eat when hungry and will eat what she can. pretty soon you will be able to give her all kinds of things. be patient and it will work out.

Bananas, mashed potatoes, anything soft. Also, I believe Gerber had Jr foods she can try. Keep in mind - any child that chooses the sweets over any other. Fruits is the best substitute. Good Luck and Happy Parenting!!

Start off easy, boil or bake some sweet potatoes and cut them into tiny chunks and see if she will eat it.

Try feeding her some well cut up food from your plate. It won't be long and she will be demanding it anyway.

If she has teeth and can handle puffs, you can also try Cheerios (much cheaper than puffs!) and cut up bananas.

Keep a pair of kitchen shears clean to help you cut things up real small.

Every baby is different, by 10 months my daughter was eating curried chicken, spicy chili and nearly everything that we ate.

Good luck

You can give her just about anything. My son is the same age and he eats everything I do as long as it's not too spicy or greasy. Have you given her the Gerber wagon wheels? My son LOVES those. He also loves green beans, baked potato, cheese cubes, toast and jelly (I get sugar free), watermelon, BANANAS he loves, spaghetti, fries (baked), chicken nuggets (baked), sweet potatoes, cream corn, those little Gerber side dishes, grilled cheese on wheat, ritz crackers, goldfish, hamburger helper, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, eggs with cheese, brocolli and cheese, steamed carrots and brown sugar, PANCAKES (but I put just a little brown sugar in the mix instead of giving him the syrup). That's all I can think of.. but these are a few of my sons favorite things to eat.. Have fun with it, just be cautious and choose healthy foods as often as possible.

At 10 months old assuming your little one has teeth she can eat whatever your eating aside from honey, nuts, and milk. Cut it up small and as for her being picky only wanting to eat "sweet stuff" you should address that now before she grows up only wanting "sweet stuff" I never allowed my son to have just sweet stuff and he is now 14 months and will anything except peas (dont blame him) cut it up small enough for her to pick up but not choke on. Make sure it is soft gradually introduce her to new foods even if its from your plate as she continues to eat her "sweet stuff"

At 10 months you can basically give her anything, except of course for nuts, honey, milk, etc... Just cut it up really small. I give my 9 month old nephew quesidillas, sandwiches, spaghetti, etc... I did the same when my daughter was this age. I work with infants and teach parents about feeding skills.
