I see two thoughts on this...first the most obvious answer will be yes we should let homosexuals into church services because they are sinners needing repentance and once they are saved they will see that they need to turn away from their homosexualy lifestyle...

BUT what if homosexuals attend church services and wish to become a Christian but do not wish to abandon (repent of) their homosexual lifestyle? The Church, Pastor, would have to refuse to be a part of his decision process to turn to Christ and be saved if he refuses to turn from homosexuality of do as many other churches are doing and simply say "that it is ok to be gay and be a Christian"....What are your thoughts on this?

It is odd how people read so many things into what I wrote.

I would not baptize someone who refuses to abandon a homosexual lifestyle.

If the person is unwilling to let go of the lifestyle, then they are not truly saved to begin with.

And I sure as heck wouldn't baptize them....or let them be in a position of ministry in my church.

Sin must be kept out of the camp.....it's a command of God.

Lets clear a few things up here:
First of all, if you are homosexual, and you walk into a Church, sit down in a pew and enjoy a Church service, who the hell knows whether you are a homosexual or not anyway???????? Nobody.
Second, the only way a Church Pastor will know if the person is a homosexual who refuses to abandon their sin, is if the person goes to the Pastor and says I am a homosexual and I refuse to stop doing it;
I want to join the Church.
Before joining the Church as a full member the Pastor would probably require the person to learn the faith, attend some classes perhaps.
In this day and age, you can find a church that welcomes gays; hell, theres even one who has a church leader who is a gay woman. Gods not there, but you could be if you want.
Just because there is a building with a big
bell in the steeple does not make it a House of God. You can go to a church where all they do is laugh uncontrollably. There are all kinds of crazy Churches with all kinds of crazy ideas and practices.
If a person goes into a true House of God and just sits thru the service nobody is going to bother the person; when was the last time someone stopped you going into a church and asked you if you were gay?
Probably never.
The flip side of this coin is that if two men dressed up like drag freaks go into a Church and sit in the pew kissing and fondling each other, if I were the Pastor I'd throw them out on their disgusting asses.
My reason? Because even heterosexual couples would not be tolerated if they show disrespect in someone else's House. And may I remind you that the Church, if it is a true Church, is GODS HOUSE. Show respect for the owner of the House, or stay the hell out. Its just common sense.

I'm in agreement with ya. I think that homosexuality is completly wrong, but letting them into church is like saying that you accept it, but you can't turn them away. I know it's hard, maybe if they are really determined to go to church then they can change, for homosexuality is an abomination unto God. Maybe the pastor, or even you can go visit them and talk to them at their house. Homosexuals cannot be accepted into the house of God unless they are going to repent, and become holy, therefore liking the opposite sex, because homosexuality is a un-natural emotion. It was not givin to people by God is like like a man made thing. Its wrong, nasty, and I will not accept. I don't believe their will be gay's in heaven because it is a sin. God created man and woman for a reason. If they cannot repent from their sins, then they have too many problems and can cause problems in the church, and if they do not wish to change then they are holding onto that sin which they feel is okay because they have convinced themselves of that. God can change anyone and will if they are willing, it will take prayer and faith. Now I'm saying this through my beliefs, and freedom of speech. If anyone is gay and does not like what I have to say, sorry, no I'm not I mean everything I said, and if this makes you mad then maybe you know your wrong, maybe you have a guilty feeling right now, I am an American and will speak through freedom of speech, and if your not happy with. Tough. I do not think Homosexuality should be accepted and I know God will not.
God Bless the Asker and I hope you can figure it out with God's help.
Good Luck

First permit's define the be conscious Christian, and go from there ok. To be a Christian we are to have a recommendations like Christ.so as that being reported, we are Christians. God forgives all sins, different than blasphemy. We have been born in sin so God gave his darling son's existence for us, and together with his stripes we are healed. As for the church section, the church is barely a development, and the church ought to be interior you. Society might settle for many stuff, yet on the day of judgement we can all be judged for the innovations we made in this existence. choose not.. except you want to be judged. For each and every physique have sinned and fallen from God's glory. The bible of course states that God reported that we are think to pay tithes and selections(10% of our income) I recommend which you're taking day out of your busy schedule and look at your bible and look at out to attend a weekly bible classification. Then perhaps you will get a private relationship with God and give up pointing palms because of the fact little do you be conscious of four greater are pointing at you!! God bless you!!!

The Bible says whosoever will let him come. The church is a hospital for sinner and God loves the sinner but hates the sin. We are to come to Him just as we are and then as our love for Him grows and our desire to serve Him and to be with Him we will want to do all that asks of us. We can never truly be converted by holding on to our own ways and refusing to be what God says we should be. The Bible says "I am the way the truth and the life"

Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

Homosexuality is clearly condemned in God's word (Lev. 18:22; 1 Cor. 6:9). To ordain homosexuals into ministry is clearly contrary to biblical truth and clearly apostasy.

Whether people like it or not in this politically correct environment, the Bible does not support women as elders or as pastors (1 Tim. 2:12-14; 3:2; Titus 1:5-7). Men are called to be leaders in the church. The fact that women elders and pastors exist is a sign that men are not doing their God-given job.
Also, if you believe in women pastors and elders, do not dismiss this article. You must always examine yourself to see if what you believe is biblical.

The mistake most people make in this is for some reason homosexuality is somehow held as a worst sin. It's not. If we kicked people out of church for sinning their wouldn't be any church. You can be a compulsive liar and attend church. The whole christianity thing has little to do with church it's all about yourself and Jesus leave it at that and let them attend church

There is a difference between attending a church(not baptized in water) and being a member(baptized in water). They can attend(please let them attend!) and be exposed to Jesus, and maybe even realize that their lifestyle is wrong by God. Once they come to that realization and they plan to change, and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior who died so that they COULD make that change... yes, they should be baptized in water. If after being baptized, they have problems shaking the lifestyle, pray for them. Remember, Jesus went to the outcasts, the ones who really needed to hear what he has to say.

They cannot truly be repentant, or Christian for that matter, if they continue practicing homosexuality.

Sure, yes, they should be able to go to chruch, fellowship, whatever, but in GOD's eyes, they are still an abomination.

Anyone that claims to be a Christian and does practice homosexuality is talking the talk, but not walking the walk. In other words, they don't truly believe in what they're selling.

EDIT: To those who despise Christians for this viewpoint, don't. WE follow Christ and his teaches in the Bible. WE didn't write Bible. If you want be mad at anyone, be mad at GOD. HE's the source of your anger anyway. I personally could care less what people do in their bedrooms. I am only conveying what the Bible says about homosexuality or GOD's viewpoint, not mine.

The church service is for all to attend. Everyone is welcomed. Membership to a church is for those which have become born again. Those that are born again experiance repentance onto life and turn from known sin unto God. You can't have two masters. You will love the one and hate the other.

Do we turn people away because because they can't stop lying? Because they can't stop coveting? Its not possible for mankind to abandon sin. "ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Homosexuality is just something modern Christians have decided is "the one really big sin". They forget about all the other sins that they are commiting. "Remove the plank from your own eye before you try removing the splinter from mine" Its nobody else's business what a fellow church member is doing in bed, that is between them and God. "Judge ye not" and God is not especially fond of hypocrites.
