Between the LCD and the Plasma which gets a better picture while viewing on an angle?There seems to be a bigger selection of LCD's is that the direction the industry is going.Which T.V. works better with a DVR? Will I need a technician to start watching either the LCD or the Plasma?What is the best pixels and ratio for most enjoyable viewing?

These days LCD are getting good - plasma can be really expensive, and don't last as long.

They should all work with a DVR - and would plug in just like any standard TV, so you shouldn't need a technician.

In terms of size and ratio it depends what you are viewing; a lot of movies/dvd you might enjoy widescreen, but there is little widescreen broadcast on tv at the moment so you'll end up either stretching the 4:3 image out to make it fit, or having vertical black bars...

both have about the same view angle
No, LCDs are easier to manufacture.
Both work the same with DVR.
Probably not, unless u are very very picky. I'm only very picky and I set it perfectly.
depends on size, viewing distance, signal inputs available.
go with true 1080p unless $$ is a real big issue.
ratios are the same for HD sets they are 16x9 but will display anything.

PLASMA IF U'RE RICH. IT HAVES GOOD QUALITY BUT LIMITED "LIFE-TIME" BUT IF YOU HAVE DIGITAL TELEVISION YOU CAN BUY A LCD.
