Both terms mean the same thing. Without a program name, it's hard to answer further.

Of course the full version of any software will contain maximum capabilities - but why pay for something you don't need and may never use? First determine your needs, then buy accordingly. Whatever software you buy, I feel it is better to have the CD and product key than download - but that's just me.

It's a quirk of the English language. It's like someone saying Is my cup is half empty, or half full? I guess either one is as good as the other.
