Too much of anything sometimes isn't good for you. Try taking that kind of dosage maybe ever 3 to 5 days. Fiber can cause an excess buildup of gas which might not be the best thing so try not taking fiber pills every day. I eat FiberBran cereal with yogurt bites and it's really tasty. I do add some sugar but it's not bad. Maybe eating foods with fiber are better for you than taking the tablet.

30 grams of fiber is needed daily. what was the source of the 10 grams that you were getting? the optimum sources of fiber are from low GI carbs like lentils, beans, oat, etc. not from fiber supplements. a low fiber intake will lead to some serious health problems later in life that are near impossible to correct.

yes too much fiber an cause a deficiency of many micro nutrients. it can also cause test production to decrease when the fiber intake is too high and the fat intake is too low. this will cause a decrease in the metabolic rate and a decrease in muscle mass as the amount of androgens in the body is decreased.

May be you can reduce it to about 5 - 6 grams. You may notice the difference after a few days.
